May Challenge

It's been a busy weekend here... and very creative :) I've just completed two layouts for the May Challenge at SBO. This months challenge was designed by Yolande and it was a toughie!

The challenge is to do a layout using cardstock and pen only. NOTHING (yes i mean NOTHING) else is allowed. No ink, stamps, thread, pattern paper, zelch, zip, NOTHING.... its called the cardstock challenge. Layouts must be loaded in the gallery by 8.00pm on the last business day of the month.

I didn't realise how often I use other things... especially INK!!! Anyway here are my layouts:
Why not give this challenge a go yourself!

Altered Hanger

I've been looking for a way to display some of my finished layouts before they get put into an album and came up with this :) They're made from trouser hangers and then decorated with paper, sanding, inking and embellished with ribbon and flowers. So pretty and also useful :)

How time flies

My goodness it's been two weeks since I've updated this blog! You'll all be happy to know that the Mothers Day presents were very warmly received. Mum LOVED her little cube and Katey thought that Kody was a very clever baby to get her auntie (me) to make her something to give :) We spent a wonderful day together last Sunday... morning tea at BB's cafe followed by shopping at the Warehouse and lunch at Burger King. Then we all headed up to Mum's to chill out and spend some more time together. Was a really fantastic day and there were LOTS of photos taken!

On the way home on Sunday night the girls and I all ended up feeling really awful and I ended up spending the next four days at home from work. You would think that I'd get heaps of scrapping done BUT the head was far too foggy for that. The only creative thing I did manage was to finish the layout for the No 8 Wired - NZ Dare #21. The challenge was to create a layout of yourself aged under 10. So here's my entry:

So come on... I DARE you to give this a go! The deadline for sharing your layouts is Wednesday 23rd May by 6pm. You can email them to Lianne at RANDLGRAY@xtra.co.nz (100kb or less).

Happy Scrapping :)

More Mothers Day stuff!

Well the creative juices are still flowing! Yesterday I held my first class and it was great! Check out the Scrapping Sisters blog to see more info and photos.

After the class I decided to make another Paper Bag Album - this one is for my grandmother. She calls her great grandkids her 'Grandies' and this little album will make it quick and easy for her to show off who her Grandies are... at least this way they are all in one place!
