Cool stuff!!!

There's been lots happening around here so I thought I'd share it with you guys! When I first bought the house it seemed so long from 'buying' to 'moving' and I was itching to do something for my first home that I decorated some 'HOME' letters. One of the first things we did when we moved in was put them on the wall (using blue tac) but over the winter they kept coming down so I put them away. Dave came up with a solution using small hangers and screws and now my HOME letters are proudly back on the wall!!! Love having them back on display again :)
Another little home project that I'm working on is making my scrap room for inspiring for myself. It's a fab room... but it needs 'decorating' so I'm embellishing it LOL I made my curtains last year and totally love the fabric and then on Beverley's blog I saw her idea for using curtain rails to hang her layouts and LOVED the idea! Dave and I checked out the rails at Spotlight but the D.I.Y. attitude kicked in so we went down to a local shop and bought 5 lengths of dowel (28mm x 1.8m) and some cup hooks and then today Dave painted the dowels black... we've still got 8 litres of black paint to use up!!! Then it was time to put them up and hang up some of my layouts. I can get 5 layouts onto each length of dowel so that means I can hang up 25 layouts at a time!!! (and see Mum I can count!!!) My scrap room is already looking more creative so thanks heaps for this tip Beverley!!!Next it's the pages I did for the Southern Cross Kids Camp that Trina and Nic Howard are co-ordinating. It's a wonderful way to help! Basically it's a camp that is held for abused and 'at risk' kids who aren't in the best of circumstances and they get to have fun. They get to be kids. They get to have memories they will cherish forever. While at camp the kids get to have their photos taken and then made into a scrapbook they can keep. Each page needs to be a 6x6 which is pretty quick and easy to do so here's the ones I sent off to Trina this afternoon:And speaking of Trina (who is such a lovely bubbly person!)... she contacted me a few weeks ago to ask if I would like to be a demonstrator for Fiskars! Woo Hoo... so excited about that!!! So next weekend (Saturday 15th March) I will be at the Rotorua Spotlight from 11am - 2pm using some absolutely gorgeous papers from the Heidi Grace 'Urban Acres' range. I'll put up some sneak peeks of the papers in my next post but they have the most lovely soft colours and the texture is amazing!!! One of the papers in particular feels like velvet... it so makes you want to touch it!!! Meanwhile hope everyone has a great Friday tomorrow :)
