52 Lists: Weeks 17 and 18

Hi everyone :)

Today I was taking some photos for my Project Life album and realised that I haven’t been doing my 52 Lists project at all!  In fact, my last update was back in the middle of May.

Then I realised that I hadn’t had any updates from Moorea Seal about the lists.  A quick check of her blog confirmed that she hasn’t been doing the lists either… which probably accounts for why my memory hasn’t been jogged about it for weeks and weeks.

She’s done pages up until Week 19… and then done a prompt for Week 20… and then nothing.  So, I figured that I’d finish what I started with her and then create my own topics for the lists.  At least that way I’ll have a completed project by the end of the year :)

I’ve got a few ideas for lists but if you think of one that would make a good topic then please share it!

Week 17: List the people you admire

I have to admit that this was a difficult one for me… mostly because I remember being told when I was younger that you shouldn’t want to be someone else.  But there are definitely ‘qualities’ I admire in others so I’ve tweaked the topic a little to make it work for me:

I definitely strive to have more of these qualities… some I’m more successful with than others but it’s all part of ‘growing into’ the person you want to be.

Week 18: List the ways you are energised

There are definitely days when you have to ‘force’ yourself to get out of bed in the morning (at least I know that’s how I feel sometimes)… and then there are days when you jump out of bed with a spring in your step… so completing this list was pretty easy really:

I started off this morning feeling really energised and excited about doing an art journal page that has been going around in my head… but then I ended up having several long conversations on the phone, lighting the fire, and doing other jobs around the house.  Now I’m ready to curl up with a good book and enjoy some time relaxing LOL

p.s. Remember if you have an idea that would make a good list topic feel free to leave me a message :)

  1. May I suggest you check out the library for two books; List Your Self (Listmaking as the Way to Self discovery) by Ilene Segalove & Paul Bob Velick and More List Your Self (Listmaking as the Way to Personal Discovery) same authors. I bought these 2 books when I was working on my first non chronological scrapbook. Some interesting lists suggestions.

A sampling from each book: (randomly chosen)
    1) List the Places You've visited that have altered your view of the world.

    2) List the jobs or companies you wish would disappear from the face of the earth.
