One Little Word: My own creations

Hi everyone :)

As I said in a previous post, I have gone ahead and done some more things of my own for my One Little Word album.

The task for January was to set INTENTIONS for the rest of the year but my January intention needed ‘something more’ from me.

I found the perfect frame at my local photo lab and it holds a photo slightly smaller than a 3 x 4 so I decided to print off my January intention and sit it on the mantelpiece  where I would see it frequently through the day.

The cool thing is that I can change the photo each month and replace it with the new intention.

I really got thinking about what ‘balancing choices’ meant to me and four very specific intentions came to mind… things that REALLY mean something to me and will make my life better.

I decided to create a 6 x 8 collage photo to put into my album.  Here’s how it turned out:

The cool thing is that every single one of those specific intentions has become a really important and visible part of my life.  I feel like I’m actually living and breathing my intentions… and it feels really authentic which for me was the whole point of taking on this project.

While I was creating a collage piece I decided to go ahead and create a piece of wall art about balance.  Getting the ‘balance’ right in my life is something that I really struggle with but seeing this wall art has actually made a difference!  Here’s what I came up with:

I found a wonderful white frame (white seems to be ‘speaking’ to me at the moment!) and framed it for my newly painted wall.

I had to photograph it on the carpet as I was getting too many reflections.

For the first time in my adult life I feel like the balance is coming back into my life.  It’s definitely a work in progress but for now it feels good… it feels right… and it feels real!

I hope 2013 is working out well for you too xx
